The Bauletto XS bag is a practical, elegant small purse made from hand-dyed vegetable-tanned horse leather. This style is part of the 2024/25 Autumn Winter collection.
This collection draws inspiration from our homeland, Puglia, and showcases colors like Adriatic, Bonfire, and Terra, paying homage to old towns’ natural winter landscape and daily life.
Bonfire is inspired by the bonfires lit in various villages during winter for religious rituals with pagan roots.
It features an inside zipped pocket, with a 100% linen lining.
Each bag is a unique artisanal product, and all the metal parts decorating the bag are made of hand-wrought iron.
The item you purchase will be the exact one you see in the pictures, as each piece is one-of-a-kind and built to last a lifetime.

Care

One characteristic of vegetable-tanned leather is the patina it develops over time, so feel free to use your bag without worry. However, it’s important to avoid water contact as this type of leather is not water-resistant. If the leather gets wet, dry it immediately by evenly spreading the water. Applying any care product might worsen the stain if the leather gets stained. To clean your bag, use a soft cotton cloth with glycerin soap and apply it to the entire surface to nourish the leather and help it last longer.
Variations in tone, shading, and material are natural and contribute to the quality of the product. Additionally, signs of aging such as stains, scratches, and patina are considered normal and add character to the leather.

Leather

The leather used to make this bag is hand-dyed. We start with vegetable-tanned leather in its natural color. Then, we apply pure aniline dyeing coats until we achieve the desired shade.
With this FW24/25 collection, we aimed to capture the aspects of our lands that are often overlooked and marginalized by foreign audiences. We sought to find beauty in the seemingly decaying and raw elements, drawing inspiration from the winter natural landscape and daily life in old towns.
We focused on 3 hand-dyed colors:
1. Adriatic: Inspired by the Adriatic sea in winter, when it takes on a dark and rough appearance.
2. Terra: Represents the bare countryside lands with minimal vegetation.
3. Bonfire: Inspired by the bonfires lit in various villages during winter for religious rituals with pagan roots.
