Bowling L Culatta Raw + Culatta Reverse Black

Description

The Bowling L is a bag built for the long haul — generous in size, uncompromising in material, and entirely at ease whether carried to work or taken on the road. Unisex in spirit and sculptural in presence, it is one of Tagliovivo’s most grounded pieces.
The body is crafted from raw vegetable-tanned horse culatta, grain side out, its surface shifting between deep black, cool graphite, and faint traces of petrol where the light catches the hide. The front patch pocket is made from the same culatta in its reverse — the inner side of the hide, left raw and unfinished, with its distinctive velvety, almost cartilaginous texture. The contrast between the two surfaces, drawn from the same material yet utterly different in character, makes every bag a study in material honesty.
The double zip closure runs the full length of the top, ensuring security without sacrificing ease. The interior is fully lined in 100% natural linen and includes a zipped pocket for essentials.
Part of the SS26 Macchia Mediterranea collection, the Bowling L carries the spirit of the southern landscape — raw, layered, and shaped by time. Entirely handmade, no two bags are ever identical. Built to last a lifetime, and to look better for every year of it.

Care

Vegetable-tanned leather is a living material — one that grows more beautiful with time, developing a rich and personal patina that no two bags will ever share. Wear it freely, and let it age with you.
That said, this leather is not water-resistant, and moisture is its most immediate enemy. If the bag gets wet, act without hesitation: gently blot the surface with a soft, dry cloth, absorbing as much liquid as possible without rubbing. Allow it to dry naturally, away from direct heat or sunlight.
For regular cleaning, use a soft cotton cloth with a small amount of glycerin soap, applied evenly across the entire surface. Avoid treating isolated stains directly with care products, as this may fix or darken the mark rather than remove it.

Variations in tone, texture, and shading are not flaws — they are the fingerprint of the hide. Over time, scratches will soften, colours will deepen, and the leather will settle into something that is unmistakably yours. These are not signs of wear. They are signs of life.

Leather

Raw horse culatta, grain side out, left unfinished and untreated — and its reverse, velvety and open, used for the front patch pocket. Two faces of the same material, each with its own texture and depth. In black, the surface shifts between charcoal, graphite, and faint traces of petrol, never settling into a single tone.
