Description
The Doctor M is one of Tagliovivo’s signature pieces — a structured, purposeful bag that carries itself with quiet authority. This version is crafted from raw vegetable-tanned horse culatta, grain side out, left unfinished to reveal the leather’s most essential character. In black, the surface shifts between deep charcoal and cool graphite, catching the light differently at every angle and deepening further with wear.
Designed to be carried by hand or worn crossbody, the Doctor M features two structured top handles and a removable shoulder strap. The hand-forged wrought iron hook closure dissolves into the leather’s dark tone, adding a tactile, sculptural detail that is felt as much as seen.
The interior is fully lined in 100% natural linen and includes a zipped pocket and an open leather pocket for immediate, effortless organisation.
Entirely handmade, each Doctor M is shaped by the natural variations of its hide and the hands that made it. No two are ever identical — and with time, each one becomes something more: a bag that carries not just your belongings, but the marks of everywhere you’ve taken it.

Care
Vegetable-tanned leather is a living material — one that grows more beautiful with time, developing a rich and personal patina that no two bags will ever share. Wear it freely, and let it age with you.
That said, this leather is not water-resistant, and moisture is its most immediate enemy. If the bag gets wet, act without hesitation: gently blot the surface with a soft, dry cloth, absorbing as much liquid as possible without rubbing. Allow it to dry naturally, away from direct heat or sunlight.
For regular cleaning, use a soft cotton cloth with a small amount of glycerin soap, applied evenly across the entire surface. Avoid treating isolated stains directly with care products, as this may fix or darken the mark rather than remove it.
Variations in tone, texture, and shading are not flaws — they are the fingerprint of the hide. Over time, scratches will soften, colours will deepen, and the leather will settle into something that is unmistakably yours. These are not signs of wear. They are signs of life.
