Luna Crossbody Culatta Reverse Bora

The Luna Crossbody is crafted from premium vegetable-tanned culatta reverse horse leather. It embodies the raw beauty and lasting character of traditional Italian craftsmanship.
The colour is Bora — the grey of the wind that crosses the Adriatic, cold and clear, with undertones of blue where the light decides to settle.
Luna Crossbody features a long, curved flap accented with a hand-cast iron ring, a signature detail that adds both function and sculptural beauty. Inside, it offers a zipped pocket and an open leather compartment for effortless organization, all lined in 100% natural linen.
The adjustable shoulder strap, finished with handmade iron rings, allows for versatile wear, while the closure itself is a unique, hand-forged piece—no two are ever the same.
Each Luna Crossbody is individually crafted, bearing the subtle variations that mark the hand of the artisan. A piece made to age gracefully, designed to endure a lifetime.

natural characteristics

Variations in tone, texture and shading are not flaws: they are the fingerprint of the hide. Over time, scratches will soften, colours will deepen and the leather will settle into something unmistakably yours. These are not signs of wear. They are signs of life.

Leather

This bag is crafted from vegetable-tanned culatta reverse leather, a material celebrated for its rich tonal variations, natural shading, and textural depth—hallmarks of genuine horse leather. These unique characteristics are not imperfections, but expressions of authenticity that make each piece truly one of a kind.

Iron Accessories

Tagliovivo’s signature iron accessories are a testament to our commitment to craftsmanship. Each element adorning the bag is meticulously handcrafted from wrought iron, ensuring that every piece is unique. This dedication to quality reflects the authentic Italian heritage we are honored to uphold.

leather & hardware care

Water Exposure

Vegetable-tanned leather is not water-resistant. If the bag gets wet, gently blot the surface with a soft, dry cloth, absorbing as much moisture as possible without rubbing. Let it dry naturally at room temperature, away from radiators, direct heat and sunlight.

Cleaning & Stains

Full-grain, full culatta and raw culatta leathers can be nourished with a soft cotton cloth and a small amount of moisturizing cream, applied evenly across the entire surface; note that it may slightly darken the leather. Hand-dyed leathers are best cleaned with a small amount of glycerin soap, applied in the same way. On polished leathers, avoid creams and use only a soft, dry cloth. On reverse culatta, use only a soft suede brush, following the direction of the nap. In all cases, do not treat isolated stains directly, as this may fix or darken the mark rather than remove it.

Conditioning

Use only products suited to the specific leather, apply them sparingly and always test them on a hidden area first. Avoid oils and waxes, which may darken the surface or alter its colour and finish.

Hardware Care

Our hooks, rings, and buckles are hand-forged in wrought iron or brass. Keep them dry, wiping them with a soft cloth after damp days. Over time, the iron may darken naturally, in harmony with the leather.

Storage

When not in use, store the bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, ideally in a breathable cotton bag. Fill it lightly with paper to help it keep its shape, and avoid hanging it by the strap for long periods.
